Devon Sproule's latest album, the wonderful Keep Your Silver Shined lingers just where the meandering lanes of folk, country and lightly swinging jazz intersect, the record is a 10-song hymn to the couple's life together in Charlottesville, a picture-postcard college town just east of Virginia's Blue Ridge mountains. Elegant and cheeky in equal measure, the record is deliciously unhurried, redolent of high-summer dog-day afternoons and balmy southern nights.
